Manipulation is the outcome of submission.

Human mind has a tendency to react to external stimuli and hence anyone can play with our mind who is ahead of us in time or experience.

But if we completely submit to God, no one can manipulate us because then we react based on whether God likes it or dislikes it rather than external stimuli which eventually makes us self-aware and fearless .

Hence, submission to God prevents us from submitting to anyone or anything and ultimately makes us mentally strong.
